Issues with Hair Mods (Bald heads!- Help!)
Every hair mod I've attempted to install has just ended up with my character having a bald head and all of the modded-in options just being bald heads when I know they are not.

I used LOOT to try and iron it out, didn't work.

I reinstalled the mod(s) themselves and it didn't work.

I bumped up the order of load for these mods in both LOOT and Nexus and it did not work.

I have SKSE, and racemenu cache killers.

This problem is infuriating and I just can't solve it, this is the THIRD fresh reinstall I've had this week trying to fix this ♥♥♥♥

You are using Nexus Mod Manager, correct?

Go to your Data\Meshes folder and make sure that thos hair meshes are actually there. There is a very high chance that NMM is just being it's usual pain in the butt and failing to install those meshes correctly.

I tried it but now it just crashes when I have my race menu up..

Problem solved, Nexus Mod Manager didn't put the Precache killer dll in SKSE's plugins so it would just crash everytime.

NMM is awful

Sorry. We were talking about leveled lists in PM and I didn't see the post.

Final versions of NMM indeed have big issues with files. Last version is notorious for doing this sort of BS, to a point where several mod authors have directly warned about that.

I am sticking with Mod Organizer for Skyrim, Skyrim SE and Fallout 4. I played FO4 with NMM and burned my fuses completely with it. Release of MO2.1.1 was a happy day for me.
