Mercer bug in Speaking with silence

Hello there, i'm just arrived at the door that you need a claw to open but as soon as I get near, Mercer become hostile and is unkillable. Is there any console command or any trick that may reset his aggressivity or something? He is also immune to any damage and effect

Before getting there make sure you don't have any bounties ... So clear any bounties before going to meet him; and that you haven't killed any thieves.

If you have accidentally hit him at some time he may go agressive and he cannot be killed until the final battle with him.

It really isn't a bug, it is something you have caused along the way.

oh damn, so am I stuck for good? I don't have any bounty on me right now and yes I may have accidentaly hit him during the fights with draugrs in there. does that mean I am stuck for good?

Reload a previous save ... and redo the fights ...

What I try to do is let him do most of the fighting.
I equipped sword and paralyse spell. the knock over any enemy threatening me and let him do most of the fighting. That way I didn't accidentally hit him.

the previous save is so long ago, it's like 20h back or something :( . would resetai or paycrime gold 0 0 work? or maybe if I sneak and try to avoid getting detected? just throwing some ideas :\

Good that you solved it!

What you need to think about is that Mercer wants to kill you and Karliah in Snow Veil, so any hits on him sets his aggro to attacking you early, which for the player can be a problem, as you found out. But good to find ways to solve it!

obviously a little late here but using the console, target him and type "stopcombat" fixed it for me

I'd add that the mod Relationship Dialogue Overhaul RDO - Update and MCM
has MCM controls that can stop fighting between anyone that is fighting with you or that a follower of your is targetting. Very helpful.
