Strange DynDOLOD message: Do not install DynDOLOD standalone into a windows folder such as Program Files (x86)
For some reason, when I activate the DynDOLOD executable from MO2 that I've created, it gives me a message saying: Error: Invalid path Do not install DynDOLOD standalone into a windows folder such as Program Files (x86).

It's a problem because I don't know how to install DynDOLOD in any place that isn't a "windows folder." Since my set Skyrim path is: Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Skyrim
I've tried to run the executable in as an administrator and still, nothing.

If anybody knows how to work around this or fix it that would be fantastic. Thanks in advance!

The DynDOLOD standalone program does not have to be, and should not be, where the game is. Instead of installing it like a mod through MO, just extract the archive into a folder like C:\Games\DynDOLOD\ or something similar.

Yes - this worked for me. I just created a new folder in my C-drive put DynDOLOD folder in there - linked to it via Vortex - and it worked. Thanks.

It's a 64-bit App, your computer is telling you Program Files (x86) is a 32-bit App folder.
Have you tried C:\Program Files\ ? Yes, Steam is still a 32-bit App..
