i said that because i prefer variety, i never intended to imply that LE is better. and again, i have SE on xbox one, so i dont need it on pc
Saying that you prefer variety, when that variety is false (since, like I said, they vast majority of the difference between LE and SE mod numbers are broken, abandoned, outdated, and translation mods), so will use LE does imply that you think LE is better. Not only that, but because of your statement on mods it's also implied that LE is better because of the mods. So, like I said, that's an untrue statement.
ok, whatever, if it makes you happy, you win, now leave, this is a thread about the dlc, not mods
Your speech level is really immersive ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Pretty sure I can stay where I want, you don't own the thread or the forums. Why don't you leave the thread if you're not going to keep up with the flows of conversation?
The thread isn't even a question about DLC but about whether you getting them is a bug or not anyways.
Skyrim needs more immersive Speech checks.
actually the real immersive mods have already these speech checks in case you cant speak for certain reasons ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
actually i do own the thread, check again, i made the discussion.
That's not how a forum works, champ.
Yeah but what's the fun in... oh right.
"immersive"
you heard wrong. the part goes like this:
"If you owned skyrim and all DLCs you got Skyrim SE for free on release day"
That's called real life, you should give it a try, once you realize there is another world out there, you will forget about playing games
But In RL all the mods are soo expensive
The FACT that LE has more mods than SE implies LE is better for modding? what have you smoked?
and the reason to use LE over SE is simple:
LE
has
more
Mods.
i have pretty much every sort of Skyrim version on the market and i still start up LE for gaming because while yes, there are a lot of abandoned mods, these abandoned mods work just effin fine.
i just restarted skyrim for the first time in years and noticed the utter lack of so many (for me) essential Mods in the SE version.
so i checked the LE version and found (except for a handfull of mods which have since vanished) everything. mods from 2014 install and start up just fine.
Se has its purpose too though.
i use it as a Fake entry for my VR mods.
other than that: SE will take a couple of more years to reach the magnificence that is the LE Modding pool.
yes, SE is better for making new mods.
No, LE is better for playing with existing Mods, due to pure Quantity of choice.
anyone claiming SE is better because it has the better mods probably supports the Creation Club too.
You obviously never saw my SSE build:

Completely do NOT support CC.
Inform yourself first before making knee-jerk, uninformed comments. End of story.
If you Truly want variety, you Do want SSE for the PC. There are hundreds of mods that will never be available for console. But, you did make a good call in going with XBone, because PS4 will never have the variety we have on PC or on XBone.
Also, Hunter, Don't listen to DeWrill . . . he's one of those who doesn't know enough facts before posting. The number of mods available for SLE may be higher than what available for SSE, but the fact is that less than half are actually usable because they are outdated, abandoned & busted, or are translations of popular mods to other languages. SSE isn't immune to this either, many have been abandoned, or are in need of updates to be functional again.
Hunter, take Grumpy with a grain of salt. He's very passionate in his comments and can come off as rude, hot tempered, etc. He, SMR1957, and I do know what we're talking about. I've been modding Elder Scrolls games for over 15yrs, but I'm no where near the level of SMR1957 and doubt I will be . . . LOL
The fact is, SSE is a Lot more stable for modding and A LOT more headache free than the original. With the original you are limited to a MAX Ram Usage of 4Gb, no matter how much ram you have in your system. You could have 64Gb and it will still only use up to 4Gb because that is all that 32bit programs allow. Some will argue this, but with almost 30yrs experience with building PCs I do know what I'm talking about.
When the 64bit version of the game was released, it was something we have been waiting for for a long time. That also opened up New Challenges for modders like SMR1957 to see just how heavy they could mod this version . . . And, with a 1500+ mod build I think he really succeeded and set the bar for others to try and pass.
Man, this has been a long-winded post, but I hope you listen to the 3 of us for sure.
Check out Pinned Discussions for this version of the game and for SSE. Tonnes of great help in those, including a section in one of them warning about Bad Mods, Bad Modding Advice, and Bad or Useless ini edits.
Correct. It was only available for free during the month of October 2016 and ONLY if you either owned the Legendary Edition or owned all 3 of the DLCs.
