problem with invisibility spell

so i cast invisibility and muffle, i go in and try to get near the enemies and they spot me quicker than while i'm visible, no joke. what's the deal with this?

That's because they heard the spell. Spells in Skyrim make sounds. You have the get the quiet casting perk from the illusion skill tree, or people will hear you and get suspicious that someone is nearby.

no. i'm testing it with a draugr deathlord that camps a position. i tried casting it, waiting 15 seconds, going to him and he spots me quicker than without the spell (all of this with thief guild armor (light), muffle spell, a dagger equipped) i also tried unequipping the spell because i thought he would see the light from it, but nope. invisibility is trash and enemies see me quicker with this spell and i don't even know why. i can almost hug him from the front while not invisibile and he spots me a mile away while invisibile

also, i have 80 sneak and all perks in the sneak tree except the last one

That is a fix for the invisibility spell, right now its bugged and it doesnt glow when cast. But I dont need invisibility, stealth already makes you invisible. Muffle is the only thing I need

What does quiet casting have to do with this? If he cant hear muffle, transmute ore, or any other spell I had why would he be able to hear invisibility?

well if he can hear ur spells? idk i never had this problem, try googling it?

Having your hands out with any spell equipped makes noise, and casting makes more, but the invisibility spell produces lots of the stuff at all times while it's active - even if you've got your hands put away.

Quiet Casting completely solves this.

i tried unequipping the spell because i thought it made light/noise while equipped. he did not hear the initial cast and spotted me at the same range with spell equipped or unequipped

also, none of this happens with muffle. i always keep it in my hands and even cast it near people, i just have to make sure i'm out of the hearing range. they never spotted me like they spot me with invisibility
