Brown wolves in Skyrim?

While working on Lakeview Manor (the house you get in the Heartfire DLC) a pack of wolves came out and one of them had light golden brown fur. It was labeled as a wolf, and when I searched it, it had 1 wolf pelt but was the color of a normal wolf.

Has anyone else seen any wolves of this color too?

I've never seen wolves of that fur color in-game, but the loading screens show wolves of that color. So the game very well could have wolves with fur colors besides the two most often seen.

i use lots and lots of mods, but I tend to see mainly black wolves, white for snow, but the regular wolves seems to have a few variants, one of them seems to be brown, i've seen em a couple of times but they aren't that common.

I've seen quite a bit of brown wolves. It's just a rare-ish color for wolves. It's hard to find one, but still possible.
Also, Lakeview Manor isn't the only house you can get for the Hearthfire DLC.

I don't have that mod but I still see Brown Wolves.

Oh wait...Skyrim has grey and brown wolves in the vanilla version. 100% certain.

I'm not sure if the pelt item changes color.

Pelt never changes color for grey and brown.
