Proving honor glitch

I beat the proving honor quest but the return to jorrvaskr doesn't show up as completed. I talked to Skjor and he just told me "I'll speak with Farkas about how you handled yourself. Come back later" So... I've tried doing the mission over again but it didn't work. Any ideas?

Did you exit normally? If not that could be one of the causes. If that's not the case try looking for Farkas in the place and talking to him then moving on and he should follow.

Go do something else for a while, then come back to Jorrvaskr. Vilkas will be out front to continue the quest.

I went and beat the dragonborn dlc only to cime back and find it not working
