Lost Knife Cave Bandit Leader Not There.

I'm doing the trouble in skyrim quest and i got to the area where the leader should be and there's just a quest marker on the ground

load one save before you did get the quest.

Sometimes that will mean he's down further into the cave if it possible to go further down from tunnels , or if a reload to a prior save and ask them again as the dugeon selected is random anyway, just look the quest up on wiki and type in console setatge "questid" 10 or 20 ..

I only suggested it because the whole dungeon thing is a random select ,and they may have cleared that cave or w/e previously whilst running around and sometimes its the onlyway to finish a quest when it bugs out

Many of those bandit quest are like that, they comes random. And you should always do them fast.
Easy to check on your map if the cave/dungeon is cleared before you go there.

I have another issue though. My game crashes in the fields near whiterun and I don't know why. I ran loot and still happens.

Not sure if Frostfall/campfire/Climates of tamriel, if you should run them at the same time.
