Changing character's name mid-game - is it safe?

I would like my character to have a different name. I figured I could do it by using the "showracemenu" command, setting all colors correct (because if you don't have RaceMenu, when you use this command then all the colors like skin color, eye color, etc. get reset), and just changing the name. Can this possibly cause any issues?

Never has for me.. But you will not see the change take effect everywhere until you exit and load a save. The only things that have messed up things as far as RaceMenu in game is actually Race changing. I change hairs / colors / CBBE sizes all the time.. those are generally harmless..
