Cannot buy apprentice spell tomes

So despite my level being above 25 in illusion, restoration, and destruction, as well as having unlocked the apprentice perks for each, no vendor will sell me anything above a novice spell tome. I've tried every vendor, yet no one will sell me any more advanced tones. I noticed this when I was trying to buy the rally spell to train illusion, and no matter where I went no one had it. I've tried force loading the vendors' inventories, waiting for several days in a far cell, and reloading saves but nowhere are the tomes found. Any help is appreciated.

Did you visit the College?
Might find some higher spell'age up there..
( or you can just cheat via console for 'em.. but thats not as fun )

That's strange, I was able to buy apprentice spells before getting to those levels. Have a look at this? It might be a glitch of some kind?

Yeah.. I had it once.. that I recall.. and going up to the college fixed it.. no idea why.. otherwise court wiz or school never gave an issue.. oddly enough.. since I used school days.. its never been an issue.

You cant get tomes that are above your level.
They are capped to your progress.

I'm aware of that, but my level should allow me to purchase them; im above 25 and I have the apprentice perks.

That's the first thing I tried unfortunately, I thought they would have them but vendors inventories just never updated.

are you level 25.. or perk 25.
because you must be level 11( or might be higher.. cause looking at all the links now.. they disagree.. and I dont remember that.. for sure.. ) for buying.. or you do indeed have an issue.. which I mentioned above.. but again.. it only happened once.. and I recall it well... Now I read your original as Level 25.. but looking back.. not sure now.. :-)
EDIT: And.. I confess I forgot what level needed for what.. but did indeed know they are locked.. :-p good he posted that. :-)

Forgive me I misspoke. I am above level 25 and I have the apprentice perks. The spell I used in reference in the original post, rally, is an adept level spell which would not be available to me either way as I am not level 40 (or whatever the cap is for purchasing adept spells). After checking again, however, I still cannot purchase anything above a novice spell tome.

ayep.. now that is what I originally figured.. Now it did indeed ( repeat myself here again.. ) but visiting the college did fix it. But it was only once.. And I do recall it plainly as it was right before I started using School Days.. I got some spells there.. then they were appearing.. no idea why still.. nor did it come up again.. Check up in the cold there.. if that dont fix it.. well.. shoot. I am out of helpful ideas then..
