Can't talk to Hadring

[CrayonFlux]

I can't open his dialogue option and turn in the Orc armors quest I have for him. He talks the usual greeting when I talk to him but there is no dialogue option window appearing. He just continues to greet me. He's the only npc I've encountered to have this problem. I'm thinking I have to reset him or something.

Edit- I tried to kill him to resurrect him but my arrows phased through him... hmmmm I don't know anymore.

killing and resurrecting/resetting wont reset and reactivate npcs scripts properly and it would make the quest fail the moment the quest giver dies.

you can check the UESP site for that mission to find out queststages and quest id etc and try to fix it with the setstage command, but many quests cant be fixed like this.

maybe the UESP site mentions bugs/fixes for the mission.
if using the console for such things be carefull, read up on it and keep backup saves.

Did you get the quest for Hadring from this mod "notice board"
Check the nexus page, since things like that can happens whit that mod.
You can also try one thing.
Open your console.
Make sure that you click on him.
Write
Disable "enter"
Enable "Enter"
Dont close the console until you have done those to.

You also have some mods at wrong places.
LOOT dont get it right all the time.

Thank you. Yeah the quest is from Notic Board. I'll try looking there. Is there a general guide on how I should arrange my load order? Unless it is specified in the mode with compatiblity issues I just let loot do it. STEP maybe? Sorry I just bought the game and want skyrim the be the best it can be and I'm a noob with modding too.

My self use that mod to and have also got one quest that did like that. Was not so fun.

I see that you have Wrye Bash.
Use that and make sure that you have green boxes if you have any other colour check the issue.
If it nags about your masters ignore it.
Your Skyrim Masters are correct.

Drag this mod down and put it before your alternate start.

Ah, Then you need to make the same changes there.

Did you fix the Hadring issue.
My self did have to use Console to fix it. Seems to be one common issue.

I tried enabling and disabling him but he just resets and just greets me. I tried stealing from him then he attacked me, follower killed him then I resurrect him. It failed my quest but at least I won't have to deal with him for now :( I hope he gets fixed after I get that stormcloak quest
