Wood Elf Vampire > Dark Elf
So I was playing through the Dawnguard DLC and I wanted to become a vampire so I let Harkon change me, I went through the little tutorial he gives you and when I reverted from my Vampire Lord form my eyebrows were in a weird place, like he was a super villain or something and my eyes were back to normal, so I went to go talk to some of the NPCs and they said something about not talking to mortals, I checked my race and it said, "Dark Elf" so basically it changed my race entirely and cured me from vampirism just from me going in to Vampire Lord form then going out of Vampire Lord form, anyone have an solution?

load an old save talk to falion in morthal to be cured this might fix it

That's the thing though, I'm not a vampire. I get turned into a vampire, I go into Vampire Lord form, go out of vampire lord form, then I am no longer a vampire (faction wise) and my race is turned into a Dark Elf.

Can you still revert to Vampire Lord? The race still should show up, but not changed to another. 2 things come to mind for that. Any mods. Some mods can have weird effects, as can mod order. Running LOOT can help with the latter. The other thing is can you run a previous save to when you went into the castle with Serena?

That's when it actually started happening, and I've decided to just start a new save seeing as my stamina, magicka and health regenerations are ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up as well.

I saw another thread with this issue and they claimed it got fixed by using the Better Vampires Mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/9717/?

I don't know how customizable it is, though. And I do recommend a new save.

I already was using BVM when it was happening, and the script below sadly did not work.
(EDIT) I put BVM and the Vampire Lord Race Fix up to the top and it fixed it, thank you so much dude.
