Unremovable Journal Entries
So I have run into a known bug in Skyrim. I had a journal entry to find a book from Urag. I had not found it yet. I went and did the Dawnguard questline. I found an Ancient Falmer Tome. The moment I handed the tome into Urag the book quest I was on bugged out. The quest marker disappeared and I could not complete it afther that. So I used the console command to complete the quest. It gave me 30 gold pieces.

Because I didn't have the book and I didn't finish the subsequent stages of the quest the entry is deactivated in my my journal list and it can't be selected. I can't remove it with a console command. If I try to do the console command it just gives me another book quest. Is this just a broken script bug, unfixable, or is there another console command I can use to remove it? I realized my mistake by not having the book when completed the quest but it was too late.

I have one more quest where this happened to me. Find Derkeethus. I found him, took him out of the cave and I died. When I reloaded from the autosave it reset the quest. It said Find Derkeethus. Derkeethus was already back at Dark Water Crossing, I checked. So I completed it with a console command. After that point the entry was stuck in my journal. It is deactivated and can't be selected or removed with console command.

As much as I have googled I can not find a solution to this problem, either, there isn't anyone with this problem or it is unfixable and no one posts about it. Is there a work around to remove these quests, it really bugs me, or will I just have to live with these broken quests in my journal? I'm cool with it as long as I have an answer.

It's usually not a good idea to use console to complete quests. If you can, go to a save prior to using the command and complete the quest as normal, if you can. The UESP will have the locations of the books for the quest, as well as other useful info.
