Movarths Lair! Wow!

I'm sure it's going to be something way obvious BUT, once I'm in there with trusty sidekick, Lydia, we kill off what seems to be the "henchmen". Low level guys I assume. THEN, run into 3,4, or 5 dudes with massive skills. We are getting our asses kicked everytime! I think I've tried everthing in my arsenel to stop this bunch. And where's the angry mob that came with me? I'm open to any suggestions.

These would be the ones in the banquet area, yes? I seem to remember them being notably more powerful than the others.

What's your magic resistance like?

Must not be that great. Or I'm doing something wrong. Potions are the only thing I know of. Or is there somewhere else I need to look?

I just looked at active powers, skills, etc. I see no resistence to magic.

I'm guessing these vampires are hitting you with spells, and the problem is that your armor doesn't protect you against those - it won't unless it has magic / elemental resistance effects enchanted onto it. Your smithing ability doesn't help at all.

The armor I have now is "Banded armor of illusuin" as well as the helmet.

I haven't figured out the enchantment thing just yet. I've been flyin' by the seat of my pants throughout this game.

which level are you? and what is your playstyle? i find movarth to be very doable as a low level sneak/archer guy, but for a melee character for example it's more tricky (iirc he uses health drain).

I'm level 12. Playstyle is unorthadox I guess. I'm still in the walk in the room and kill 'em all mode. Shades of years of Call Of Duty.

If you've got illusion magic (since you're wearing armor for it), you could try fury spells on the vampire's thralls. Vampires are immune to it, but their thralls aren't. Keep well back and let them fight it out. Sneak attacks with bows also good. Fire magic also good, vampires are vulnerable to fire.

Now that I can do! I have fury and some other fire spell. Sneaking I guess will also be the key in the equation here. I haven't used the bow yet, (oddly enough) altough I have one.

If you have the money, try buying a high level fire scroll and just blowing everyone up. Vampires are weak to fire.

Somehow, I did it! Fire and fury! Lit' em all up and that was it! Thanks all! I am gonna look into that scroll though! I like the sound of that.

Have you tried retreating to a choke point to force 1 on 1 fights?

That place is not good to try to raid at lvl 12.
Get your self on decent bow, make some poison and put on your arrows. You cant tank that place.
