Lydia not in Whiterun Hall of the Dead
I don't actually want Lydia back or need any gear off of her. I know for a fact she died, however, shes supposed to get some sort of burial in the Whiterun Hall of the Dead yet her coffin never appears like its supposed to.

I did get the inheritance letter though.

Any particular reason why she never showed up in the Hall of the Dead?

I think it may change if she moves into your home that's in another hold.
Not entirely sure.
I also know it takes a few days for the body to spawn there.

Yeah, at first she died and nothing happened. Weeks passed, never got the inheritance note either.

So I went to her location, resurrected her then killed her. Immediately got the inheritance note. I'll let a few days go by and see if maybe the first time she was bugged.

Interesting, I thought they were always brought back to their home city.

I ran a test btw, resurrected her and killed her in Whiterun, then killed some other named NPCs. Days go by, check the crypt. All the other NPCs had their burials except Lydia. Kinda weird.

Did you check Dragonreach? Sometimes after a while, she sometimes "resurrects" and ends up there. Also sometimes she ends up somehow essential so she won't die or stay dead. Nothing you'll be able to do about that.
But if its a divorce you wanted from her, its already done.

LMAO--this is hilarious. I hate Lydia and frequently sacrifice her to Boethiah. Resurrecting her and killing her is right up my alley. LOLOL

There is no reference to a coffin or urn for Lydia in the WR Hall of the Dead in the CK. My belief is that she just goes to the dead body clean up cell. She's not worth a coffin. Sometimes when you are marrying someone, her dead body will appear in the temple of Mara. I've had that happen to me a couple of times. Anyway, I don't think you'll find her. If you are really interested, you could teleport to the clean up cell. Try coc WIDeadBodyCleanupCell in your console. I think that will take you there.

Interesting, so she DOESNT actually have a coffin or burial urn scripted for her? Its weird then because a lot of people seemed to believe that she got a burial like the rest of the citizens.

She does go to the cleanup cell though, I can confirm. Thats how I resurrected her in the first place. So a lot of bodies of named citizens.
