Help getting rid of "bring a follower to delphine" misc quest
I am not going to do the Blades questline but I like a clean quest log.
I'm trying to find the "bring a follower to delphine" quest ID so I can disable it in the console but I can't find it anywere...

Its far from gamebreaking but help would be appreciated, thanks in advance!

their no way outher than command it caution might break or make the game outher quest though best to do it and then it cleared off just take ramdum followers to her like the one in windhelm the pristes at azura statue and a few outher fighting followers that be good for them

What Elf Eyes said. Either just do the quest or ignore it.
Do not try to keep a "clean" quest log - it is just about impossible. As to using console commands to advance or complete quests, that should only be done if you encounter a bug that prevents the quest from progressing, and only after you have exhausted all other options; for that, you should see the appropriate page in the uesp wiki (look under the page's Bug section) - go to http://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Skyrim for this.

If you get into the habit of using commands to advance and/or complete quests, you will more than likely end up breaking your game and we will not be able to help you, the only solution being to go back to a save made prior to the use of the commands (if you could even determine which command it was that caused the problem) or, much more likely, you would have to start a new game. And ALWAYS make a manual save before using any console command - just in case.

I dont have the habit of using console comands to advance quests, I have only done this once to fix a bugged bard's misc quest and I was just wondering if I could do the same here.
Like I said; this is no biggie, I'll ignore it unless someone knows a way to clean it out of my quest log :P

There is no way other than to do it, or - which you should reallly not do - by using the command to complete it.

Edit - unless there is a mod that gets rid of it - I haven't seen one, but with all the mods out there, you never know.

I thought the only way to get the Bring a Follower to Delphine was to talk to Delphine after completeing the Alduins Wall quest. If this is the case it seems like there would be an easy solution, just don't talk to Delphine.

I certainly could be wrong but I have never gotten the quest unless I talk to Delphine after completeing Alduins Wall and following the dialogue which leads to the quest.

This happened because I talked to her right after finding Alduins Wall and I didn't think about it at the time. I can still bring 3 followers to her, but the quest wont advance later on unless I kill Paarthurnax, but screw that, I'm not killing one of my favorite characters because the blades turned on unreasonable ♥♥♥♥♥♥ mode.

So now I'm stuck with this misc marker... It tilts me just a little.

Yeah, you have to be careful about telling NPC's that you will help them do one thing or another as this is how many Radiant Quests start.

I'm with you on Paarthnurnax I like him too.

Do you use mods? There is a mod called the Paarthurnax Dilemma that allows you to continue with the Blades and not kill the Mario dragon.

Thats not the issue, I accept the story as it is (even though this part does not make much sense for me).
if the Blades want to be stupid, fine, they can rot in their sanctuary, I just want their quest marker gone from my quest log xD

Get the mod. Basically all you do is tell the Blades that they are being stupid and the quest ends. Your problem is solved, and life goes on.

THE ACTUAL ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION:

use ~

setobjectivecompleted freeformskyhaventemplea 10 1

if you have brought a follower in already, the last two numbers might change to 20 1

or 30 1 depending on what stage you are at in the quest.

This bugged the crap out of me until i found the answer.

You can also remove any quest that way by finding the ref id of the quest and using the setobjectivecompleted [refid] 10 1 command
