What are the differences between Skyrim LE and Skyrim SE?
The title says it all.

Skyrim LE (released in 2011) - 32bit engine (Less stability compared to Skyrim SE's 64bit engine)
54,000 mods on nexus
Older graphics, recommended for lower end systems or for heavily modders, people who don't want the game to look and feel so vanilla.
Has SKSE, which allows scripted mods and complex mods to work, more modding capability overall.

Skyrim SE (released in 2016) - 64bit engine
about 8,000 mods on nexus
Has enhanced vanilla graphics and other features like godrays and atmospheric blah blah
Is better optimised but still requires a mid range setup at the minimum.
Doesn't have as much modding capability but the current mods out there are good enough, just doesn't have everything.
Game runs and feels pretty vanilla even with mods.
Less modding capability and doesn't have SKSE

When I mod Skyrim LE, if i wanted a random mod like "spell charging" then it's there, or anything other random mod, it's usually made and released out there on the nexus.
When I do the same thing for SE, it most likely doesnt exist.

Depends on how you want to play.

One has less stability but much more mods, other one has more stability but doesnt have much mods

You forgot to mention that SE disables achievements with mods (or was that FO4?) and it kind of tries to force Bethesda.net on you...

SE's modding scene atm is a bit murky, no SKSE64 as of yet, the whole Creation Club thing...

I thought it was interesting that all mods for the Creation Club are downloaded in updates even if you don't buy them. So I would bare that in mind if you were thinking of getting Special Edition.

skyrim LE is original skyrim that is now non existent and could be considered priceless in a few years

skyrim SE is the 1920X1080 version of original skyrim and is consiered worthless since you cant mod the game without losing the achievements and the bugs are all in HD now.

and mods conversion from oldrim to SE is tedious and not worth the effort. you cant expect a guy that invested thousands of hours on a mod to redo it all over again

Special Edition is not stable.

You can't judge its stabillity if all you have are just follower and graphic mods. Wait for SKSE64bit and they we will see how scripts are handles in SE.

Okay. Thanks for responding. *I know you already answered this but I'm a nervous little kid who is insecure with himself XD*

The graphics in LE are the same as vanilla Skyrim? right?

LE is 720p unless you have HD pack and its unofficial patch
SE is 1080p

So you can't play it on a 1080P screen? or have it in 1080P on a screen?

What they said is not correct, but what I think they meant was that the SE has higher-resolution textures. However, no one using mods is going to be using the vanilla textures, let's be real.
