Possible to get a follower to use 'Powers'?

I use the skyUI, in the section to the right of shouts, 'Powers' (Also to the left of the Active Effects tab) I have a lot of spells and such but I'm not sure how to add powers to followers, even though I know how to add spells. They don't seem to use Powers when I first attempted it even though they use spells.
