NPCs Never sleep
Yes, I'm well aware Skyrim npcs have bizarre sleep patterns, but in my game they simply never sleep at all.
Break into a guys house at 3 in the morning? He's right there to greet me. Need to speak to the Jarl at 2:30am? No problem, they're still relaxing on the chair.
Vampire, and need to feed on a sleeping person? Tough. Luck. <- And that was whn I really started to notice it, after becoming a vampire. The ONLY way I can feed now is to progress to stage 2 and use Seduction. I went into a guard barracks and not a single one was sleeping.
Something is definitely broken.

The only mods I have which could be affecting NPC behavior are Relationship Dialogue Overhaul and probably the Unofficial Skyrim Patch Legendary Edition. I will mess around with other mods to see if I can find one that might be messing with the way NPCs sleep.

Same sort of bug as the shops not unlocking if you wait near them.

Yes, but that can usually be fixed by just waiting again. No matter how long I wait these NPCs never go to sleep.
Oh, but children will sleep. But you can't feed on children.

That works like 1 out of 10 times for me. Skyrim is sooooo buggy. Lost count of the amount of floating rocks.

Did you ever mess with the console command to adjust the game's passage of time? I did it in a previous game and after a bit I noticed some things not working right (like NPC patterns afterwards).

I've not changed anything related to in game time, unless one of the mods I have is messing with that.

Update: figured out it must be some kind of problems with the beds themselves. I married a guy who can also be a follower, told him to follow me, then told him to sleep in his own bed (which he just stands next to all night) and he just said "Can't do that, sorry."

That's my load order, more or less. I have been changing it around to try fixing this, among other problems (also having an issue where I used to be able to change my characters eyes as a vampire using showracemenu but then suddenly lost that ability when the game randomly shuffled around my load order for some reason)

psssst: they are all vampires

This is not caused by Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch. In fact, USLEEP fixes few things related to sleeping actors. I just checked version history. Nothing has been changed with beds or actors in this regard since the last time I played the game.

I have no idea if this would be record issue or script issue could be either one.

In this case I would recommend opening the whole load order in TES5Edit. Check beds from Skyrim.esm. It will show all mods creating conflicting records with them.

If records themselves do not tell us what is going on, then they would at least show which mods are interfering with beds. Even if scripts would be loaded in BSA, the ESP file would still very likely mark beds.

If you don't know how to do this, then I can walk it through with you. It is actually very easy to do.

Thanks for the idea, I've never tried using TES5Edit, i loaded it up and found beds and they are all highlighted in a different color than everything else but I can't really make a lot of sense of it. I'll keep working with it for now. Could be related to a mod that I uninstalled.

UPDATE:: I seem to have found the problem, and it was the Immersive Children mod which adds a check to nearly all furniture to check whether the actor is a child or an adult. This mod seems a bit complicated and I'm going to meticulously reinstall it and make absolutely sure I installed it correctly because I don't think that I did. will update with result.

AHA! That worked. There were several extra steps to installing that particular mod that I didn't pay attention to and it was messing with my game.
Lesson learned: Always adhere strictly to a mod's installation instructions and pay attention to every detail, or you're gonna have a bad time.

Thank you so much to everyone who offered help! :D

PS: The Vampire eyes problem i was having I also managed to fix, simply by moving the skin color fix to the bottom of the load order. So if anyon's had that problem, it's quite simple.

Thanks again everyone! I'm back to feeding and stealing!
