The same thing that happens normally. After 48 in game hours of not loaded cell, the body goes to the dead bodies room - just google it - and you go ahead with your journey

The game reloads to your last save.

Are you talking about living mortals entering Sovngarde (witch i don't think is possible) or about the guys who join you to fight Alduin? Like if they died in the fight, would they keep feasting in the Hall of Valor, or they spirit would be gone/lost?

If is the last one, i don't think they can die unless Alduin takes his souls (Alduins goes to Sovngarde to capture lost souls to increase his power).

So, when you first enter sovngarde and you see the stormcloak soldier, that gets snatched by alduin, does he die? If so what happens? Is his soul just part of alduin or akotosh?

I think his soul vanishes/disappears and goes into Alduin as some sort of fuel. But when Alduin is defeated, the souls are released or they are forever vanished? Who knows?!?!
Would be nice to hear more opinions on the matter.

That guy is already dead. The only person alive there is the Dragonborn.

Yes I know that, it is seperate from the main point of the thread, i was just curious what would happen.

Well, I like to think that if they fight honorablely and bravely against whatever foe they have, that they can go into Sovngarde's Halls and feast for eternity until Alduin comes. I do like that they confirm that Sovngarde is a legit thing, and not just legend or some religious fantasy.

I bet some guys from this thread go in Skyrim vídeos asking for the release date of Skyrim 2.
