I do go into inns to pick up food though, usually cooked beef and salt, because it's harder to find and cook that myself, and I can never have enough salt. On those occasions, it's whatever inn I happen to be passing by. I just went through Nightgate Inn and picked up some chicken breast because I'm low on healing potions and my poor stealthy guy is fairly squishy.
I don't really have a favourite inn. If I'm in Riverwood, I camp. The Inn I've hung out most in is probably The Bee and Barb (is that an inn or a tavern?) since I like Keerava and don't have the Riften house yet.
I'm really more inclined to attach myself to a forge than an Inn. My first character always works the Skyforge unless it's not practical. My newest guy tends to go to Dawnstar, since he started out in that area (Live Another Live mod).
