PLEASE HELP

FIX YOUR BLOODY CAPS LOCK. WE REPLY, WHEN WE HAVE THE TIME!

Quote from UESPWiki:

Sometimes Gerdur will not have an option to ask about the dragon, causing the main quest to be frozen forever. One fix is to ask Alvor for supplies. After you look through his inventory, he will start by saying "There is something you can do for me, and the people of Whiterun..." Listen to him speak and he will mention to you that you should inform the Jarl of Whiterun of the dragon. After that, the quest will update. Similarly, Alvor may not have an option about the dragon, and the quest will not be able to progress. One easy way to remedy this to go straight to Whiterun and talk to the jarl. This will advance the quest.

Do you have any mods in your current game? Have you removed any mods from current game, or used some console commands in it?

If you suspect that your master files are damaged and causing this problem, then validate your game files with cleared appcache folder.

thank you but i have one more question

sometimes my arrows go inside enemy but deal no damage what causes this.it happens almost every game i own. not only skyrim but fallout new vegas, cs go,battlefield.

Hmm... that is a lot harder to answer. I do not have experience about CC and Battlefield. That sounds like mesh load issue.

Skyrim has a max mesh load distance, where arrows go through, without making any damage. It might be set way too close in your configuration files for Skyrim and FO NV.

Following tweak might help. Note that only ACTOR section is relevant here. COMBAT is optional. If you add those values as well, then your arrows will fly through the crosshair and not above it.

[Combat] f1PArrowTiltUpAngle=0.7 f3PArrowTiltUpAngle=0.7 [Actor] fVisibleNavmeshMoveDist=14000.0000

Values are added to your Skyrim.ini file. This file is located in:
C:\Users\<AccountName>\Documents\My Games\Skyrim.

My brother you is mvp ,thank you for that.So is this hardware error? is gpu causes this all trouble? ill change the gpu if you say so?
Ilja Jan 12, 2017 @ 9:27am
Unless your GPU is extremely old, I would say that this looks more like a configuration error to me. Try those settings in the game. If changing fVisibleNavmeshMoveDist value solves the problem, then that would be nice.

There should be similar setting for Fallout NV, but it has been a very long time since I last fiddled with that game.

thank you my friend. Can i add you to my friend list?

I only add my RL friends, or people I work with, when making forum tutorials and guides.

I spend a lot of time writing RL stuff and Steam is almost always open. The more people I have there the more distractions they are going to make.

Reaching me is quite easy though. I have a pinned topic in Skyrim forum and also another one in Skyrim Special Edition forum.

There are other people around these forums as well. We have quite good crew of regulars and they are all focused in various things. They can give better replies to different things than I could. Thus, help requests usually do not get ignored. People just come and go different times of the day. I am just checking some to wake up and others getting home from work through my Steam friends list and Discord. :)
