you put them in the data folder but you should use nmm since ur new or if you want something more advanced but better use mod organizer
Ahh mods. You should've mentioned so from the start. Was thinking uTorrent.

if you use nmm you should just download the .nxm version of the file because it tells you when there is an update but for now just open nmm and press the green plus sign and drag the rar file in there and then restart nmm

click the second option in nmm with a folder and an orange arrow and click nmm's mods folder then drag the .rar in there

You drag the files to the data folder. NMM is way too easy.

He already said he was confused when he unpacked the file, and you go and tell him this?
Sometimes it seems like you just want to see them come back screaming that their game is broke after adding files to the data folder when they don't know what they are doing.

Well I wanted to install an enb but I know requires manual install. I wanted someone or ANYONE to help me do that but before I even considered that I have to verify my game or delete my skyrim entirely from my pc and reinstall. When I have no textures in it and just simply the vanilla, there's snow like patches all over the map. So I'm assuming I'm missing files or or something. But I can't play for more than 10 mins without it crashing or freezing. I can't fast travel or wait with the T option for a whole day or anything like that. It instantly crashes. And my computer is a monster so it can handle ENBs. I had one sorta installed if that makes sense but I didn't know I needed a mod load order, dragging and extracting things. It was a lot. And when I asked for help someone sent me to someone else and they sent me to more people and others sent me to this long soul sucking video of constant mods and things needed to be downloaded for enb to work. It was literally impossible. Some of the requirements just for me to run a simple enb from what people sent me too requires like 200 downloads and it didn't seem right so I just gave up.
