Vampire Lord Stopped Leveling Up.

I'm been progressing through the vampire perk tree, got to 7 perks, and now I can't seem to progress any further.

Each kill with drain or bite does show the message in the top left, you know "life essense absorbed, vampire level increased" or whatever, yet the perk bar hasn't moved at all.

I've tried killing everyone from Forsworn, Stormcloak, Imperial, Wolves, other vampires, regular citizens... nothing seems to work.

I've tried feeding on people that are sleeping to see if that would help, but it hasn't.

I have no mods installed, no extras, no cheats, no config menu use, nothing.

Any help would be appreciated. : /

for every lvl up you need more kills it will pop up when ready go to a bandit area and kill like the forswarn camp kills that you follower will make it take longer o resurect then kill the thral with drain in vampire form also help lvl up

Did you get an answer to this? I'm no longer getting the life essence message. I'm on my last perk, and I've killed everything, even dragons, dragon priests, death lords, high rank NPCs. Using bite and drain life.

It fixed eventually for me. I think I waited for two or three days straight, than I killed a bandit chief and it started to progress again.
