I CAN'T SAVE MY GAME ANYMORE
I can't save my game anymore. Everytime I try and save a new game, I go back to load and there's nothing there. I tried overwhrighting my previous saves, but still nothing. When I quicksave and then quickload, skyrim says my quicksave is corrupted. I already tried uninstalling and installing again, I tried restarting my computer, I tried deleting my previous saves, I tried removing mods and I also tried using LOOT for my mods. I didn't download any mods, because this thing happened suddenly. Please help, steam. You're my only hope.

Hi All,
I just had this issue now as well and found another reason what causes it (Windows 10).
It's the ransomware protection which needs to be disabled in order to resolve the issue.
It can be disabled by going to Start -> Settings -> Updates and Security -> Windows Security -> Virus protection -> Ransomware protection -> There you can turn it off.
Once it's disabled you should be able to save again. No need to disable your Antivirus (at least from my experience).

some common causes:
disk file system corrupt. run check the drive for system errors.
disk full. make sure there is space.
permission problem. run steam as admin.
antivirus blocking the game. check your antivirus logs.
mods are causing problems.

So, just for others who may be having this issue currently, make sure to check all your save files, because what was happening with me is the saves that I were doing and thinking they didn’t work were actually UNDERNEATH earlier save files, hope this helps someone!

Is there another way to fix this without turning off ransomware protection?

read your antivirus manual and learn how to add exceptions/exclusions.
