Not reading dragon shouts.

I have played Skyrim a lot and I love it. I recently started using Nexus mods but nothing was wrong. But then I actually decide to do the first quests with mods installed and it doesn't read it. I am in Bleak Falls barrow and when I walk up to the shout I just get the background audio of the people singing, and the sound of the dragon soul reading (the sound when the mist things swirl around you) but the only thing I see is a very tiny mist coming around me. I don't know really how to describe it. Generally what happens to me (and all people I assume) is that the screen darkens and a lot of this mist swirls around you and then it says some words in the dragon language. This isn't happening like I said above. I left my computer on for an hour and left it to go do chores, but when I got back I hadn't read it. Then just to check I qucksaved before reading it away from it, so I wouldn't spawn in and read it. I left my computer on all night and when I got back I was in the same spot as last time. Meanign I hadn't read it and the draugr didn't wake up to kill me. I don't think this is a problem with mods because a couple years ago I played Skyrim on the Xbox all the time and this happened a few times but then a couple resets of Skyrim and it worked. But I have reset my computer multiple times and Skyrim. This actually accured about 3 months ago and I just gave up on Skyrim. Now I am finally wanting to play it again but can't because I want this quest done.

The solution is spelled Usleep. Old and well known bug.

I haven't tried it, but the mod title is Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch. I don't have legendary edition. Would this corrupt anything in my game?

Ok. If you dont have all DLC:s.
You should use The Unoffical Patch, you have one for the DLC:s you have.
I think you have the links for them on the page I did give you.

No it will not mess whit the game, it is one massive bug fix.

One tips for you, dont use quick save. Use hard saves instead.

I did this, but now whenever I launch Skyrim it crashes. I went to loot and it says under the Unoficial Hearthfire update "his plugin requires "HearthFires.esm" to be active, but it is inactive."
Above that is Hearthfires.esm. And there is no green checkmark. How do I activate. I have looked at my load order on the launcher of Skyrm, I cant find anything.
