lavender in non-owned areas
why is it that, when in an un-owned area (like a cave, dungeon, etc),lavender is often considered as owned?

im in Cragswallow Slope (a mage cave) right now,at the end of it,and nothing is owned, other than a bit of lavender, but often times i find lavender in other areas like this one where its also the only item considered "owned" (and also the Thalmor Embassy as well, but its still the only item there considered "owned"),anyone know why all this lavender is considered owned when nothing else is?

i do have the unofficial patches as well btw,so dont even bother suggest getting them,as i already have them

thanks in advance

quick edit : yes i know that i can just remove ownership of them with the console, but im wanting to know why they are always considered as owned

Can't say I've noticed anything like this. Doesn't mean it hasn't affected me; just that I haven't noticed it. I had my character return to the Slope, but apparently that area doesn't reset and I'd cleared out all the ingrediants the first time around, so I found no lavender there.

I did find this:

https://gaming.stackexchange.com/questions/118470/is-it-normal-for-random-items-in-dungeons-to-be-marked-for-stealing-in-skyrim

While there's nothing conclusive there, it did suggest a possible link between areas with owned items and quests assigned by Enthir.

I suppose you could use MFG Console to see if any mods are involved?

eh,im not too concerned with fixing why items are being considered owned when its only ever lavender, even less so when i hardly ever go into alchemy anyways,i was really just wanting to see if anyone knew why it happened,as its not a recent issue,i've always had this for as long as i can remember honestly

and its not like it being stolen prevents it from being turned into a potion or a food item either anyways, just that it will be confiscated be a guard if i get thrown into jail/pay any bounty i might have

Again, MFG Console may tell you exactly that.

I'm inclined to assume that a mod's involved, given that UESP makes no mention of it.

well i kinda have to find another one,as this thread was made over an hour ago,and im not just going to sit in one spot for however long it would of took to get an answer

i originally thought it was just something to do with the Thalmor Embassy tbh,as until now thats the only place i had that "problem",and it was only the lavender in there anyways
