1st monitor 144hz ASUS VG248QE Main
2nd monitor 144hz ASUS VG248QE left
3rd is some rando sharp monitor 60hz right
theres no patch or some sort of mod that will try to fix it?
go to your NVIDIA settings and set your display to 60hz.
then activate Vsync in skyrim. and it will basically ~feel~ normal and good. hard to explain but you will know what i mean.
As I said before, I do not wish to cap my frames at 60, just preference. I'm am looking for an alternative to this. Is there really no fix whatsoever?
i saw a guide once on the ENDERAL reddit, there was a guy who tweaked the game to work perfectly with his 120hz display.
and since the ENDERAL mod uses the old skyrim engine, it should also work for regular skyrim.
so my advice : search the enderal reddit.
I have never used reddit in my life lol ill go try to look though, if anyone else is aware of how to do this please post it :)
Again, to clarify: the game will glitch out above 60 FPS. However, your display's refresh rate, measured in hertz, isn't the same thing.
The usual method of capping your frame rate is to enable vsync, which disallows your frame rate from exceeding your refresh rate. Many video cards support adaptive vsync, which when used with a high-end display, usually instead caps FPS to half your refresh rate. This then allows you to use a screen refreshing at 120hz to lock the game to 60 FPS.
There are other ways of doing it, mind you. ENB settings, for example. Using an ENB has an advantage in that you can then use a display set to 144hz (whereas even with adaptive vsync, you'd otherwise still end up with an excessive frame rate).
