Gunmar only becomes available AFTER escorting Serana home.
Did you mess whit the console?
You're confusing Gunmar with the "marriage partner". bableed indicated that they're not the same NPC.
You are correct. I was confused by the syntax of the OP. I am still confused in fact.
The quest to escort Serena home was finished when I got the Gunmar quest.
I lost my husband when I was banished from the castle, after refusing to become a vampire. I noticed a slight shadow of him as I dissapeared. When I went back to the boat, where I left him, he was gone. Anyone, who had that problem and know how to correct it let me know. Hope this clears up the confusion.
I guess thats why my name is Bablee, LOL
Thanks again all.
Or, if you actually want to know where the characters were hiding, move yourself to them:
To get your target's refID, look them up on UESP. For example, with Gunmer:
http://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Gunmar
... we can see his refID is xx003477, where the "xx"s are Dawnguard's formID. You can get the formID by using the console to select any other item / character / whatever from that plugin - for example, Serana is also from Dawnguard, so if you select her and see eg 02 as the first two characters of her reference code (it might be something else, so check!), then that's the same formID you'd use for Gunmer.
Thanks :)

"If you don't know what you're doing, using console commands can cause your game to malfunction! Executing the wrong command can cause your game to stop working normally; furthermore, you may not become aware of such malfunctions right away, and you may not be able to trace their cause. They can cause problems like making quests impossible to complete, altering your game's display, all kinds of game behaviors, your ability to play your character, and your ability to play the game at all. Solutions are not always easy, and may involve losing saved games or reinstalling your game.
Create a permanent saved game before using the console. (This mitigates only some kinds of risks.) If you need to use the console to fix a glitch, try to use the least powerful command possible.
