Can't purchase hjerim

I completed the blood on the ice quest in windhelm, so that wizard is locked up. All guards are saying "Hjerim's a fine house for a sale, talk to the steward if you are interested" However all i can do is ask him about ulfric and the war... Please help

You have to progress to a certain point in the civil war quest to buy hjerim. I don't want to do the civil war quest, google "Neutral Hjerim", do something else for a few days (in-game), then you can buy the house.

Use it in my game and recommend it if you don't want to have to do the whole Civil War thing.

That's exactly what i did, i completed blood on the ice but still can't buy the house, is it because of the truce?

"The option to buy the house may exist but you are unable to actually purchase it even after completing the prerequisites as the dialogue still says it is unable to be purchased due to unpleasantness"

"This questline is put on hold during the ceasefire negotiated in Season Unending; Civil War quests are unavailable until after the Main Questline is completed."

Also, make sure your updated load order is sorted with LOOT.

Just read through the mod's posts, and don't see any that would exactly apply to your problem. The only thing I can think of is that since you started the Civil War questline, you may have to complete it (whether you have Neutral Hjerim or not) - which requires completing the Main Questline (as per above mentioned reference).
