My Follower Won't Leave My Service.
I installed Immersive Amazing Follower Tweaks, (a fan made improvment of AFT with the original creator's permission), after installing Interesting NPCs. One of the custom NPCs is my follower, and when I try to dismiss him to hopefully bring up the AFT options, he just refuses to leave my service. I tell him it's time to part ways, he says bye, but he just continues to follow me. I have usleep, so it shouldn't be a normal game glitch, any ideas about what to do?

I don't know. I was just being realistic. When someone won't leave you you beat them to death.

Get the MCM addon and it will all be okay. Amazing Follower Tweaks - MCM version - English - AFT_MCM NEXUS download ID 1000192026.

If you want the NPC to be an AFT follower you can try the force follower spell. Save first.

I used the spell and it said to choose the dialogue option "Manage with AFT." However, it doesn't appear.

Have you checked if the follower can use IAFT or similar mods?
Some followers can actually be messed up and bonked by it.
And if it is one follower from 3DNPC you dont need to use IAFT on them since they use their own.

I saw on the mod pagen that IAFT is compatible with 3DNPC. Also, I don't know what their own function is, since it seems to just rely on the normal Skyrim follower system.

Then it should work fine. Check if you have one quest whit him.
What is the name of the follower?

His name is Ylgyne, and he doesn't have his own quest to my knowledge.
