I want to help Whiterun in the war...what side do I join?
Do I join the imperials or the stormcloaks? It's been a while since I played, and I made a new game, but I can join the war, but which side benefits Whiterun?

Either ... makes no real difference. Whiterun just gets guards wearing a different uniform.
My suggestion is to do which ever side you didn't do last time, To experience it all.

just kill everyone... kill Paarthanax asap and kill all the stormcloacks because they try to frame you for murder. Don't even give those savages a chance! Kill paarthanax... did I mention that.

Stormcloaks change the Jarl, so if you want Jarl Balgruf to keep his position you play Imperial

I would love to be able to select which Jarl represents the hold, irrespective of the side chosen. Especially when it comes to corrupt ones like Maven.

Also I would prefer to join Stormcloaks and keep Jarl Balgruuf as he is Loyal to Whiterun and not aligned with either side, unless you progress in the civil war.

Do you know the mod name or can you link it? I often have crazy high Speech as I love bartering, and all forms of persuasion.

You do realise most people with names like that are named after Irish villages, and that the Kil bit was added when it got a church.

All of which means you think there was a village in Ireland called "Grave" at some point........
