Fortify Enchanting potion not as effective as should
After upgrading to Skyrim Special Edition it seems my fortify enchanting potions only give me a +20% effect instead of the 35% it says in the potion's description. I still have my old gear, from playing the normal edition of Skyrim, with USLEEP, enchanted with the same potions, with +54% increase to Archery and One handed. Now that I try to enchant gear with the potions I only get a +48% fortify skill XX. What gives?

This sounds related to the unofficial patches.

The potion effect says it increases the power of your enchants. In the vanilla versions of the game, it instead increases the effect of your skill upon your enchants. USLEEP tweaks things so that it works like the description says it should, making it much more powerful.

But you say you're using "no mods", so I guess I should assume you're not using the unofficial patches with either version of the game...?

Thanks Bomb Bloke! That might be it! Now that you mentioned it, I did have the unofficial over all patch (USLEEP) applied. I didn't figure to think of it as a mod since it's something Bethesda should have done themselves long time ago :D (Edited my question to account the patch.)

And to anyone searching for answers to the same question: I can confirm that after installing USSEEP (Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch) and a few attempts of starting and restarting the game with mods enabled, the Fortify Skill XX enchantment is back at +54%! In other words the Fortify Enchanting potion is again doing what it's description says it should be doing.

Thanks again Bomb Bloke!
