How to Cancel a Mission?

I accept too many Side Quests that I don't even know where that comes from, I just move around and bam, 300 Side Quests from a dog pissing on the ground...

There's anyway to cancel a Side Quest and remove it from the list?

The only ways to remove quests from the log are to complete them or load an earlier save before you picked up the quest.

... I really can't think of a way to say "good luck clearing the log" without sounding like the south bound end of a north bound horse.

you can mod them out but you can not do it in game

Basically stops the quests from triggered and being added into your journal by people just talking to you or hearing gossip, (eg) Joining the Imperial legion, join the Bards College, visit the Shrine of Azura etc etc. Some quests also don't give you a choice to back out if you are not interested but this mod also changes that. Good mod if you don't like you journal being filled up with loads of miscellanous and side quests.

I wanted to go to the College of Winterhold to find info on the Elder Scroll, but now it wants me to join as a mage, and im not magical and have no intrest in becoming a student. Its in my journal as "First Lesson" and i want it gone! Im whilling to do any console commands but no mods. Im on PC. Please help, thanks xxx

As stated in the above posts, the only way is to go back to an earlier save, complete it, or just ignore it You cannot remove a quest from the journal any other way.
