Skyrim Dragon Burial Mound Glitch
Ok, so I am at the crossroads between whiterun, markarth, and falkreath. Burial mound there and Alduin flys by, speaks in the dragon tounge and the light spire appears as the dragon resurrects. the Dragon then crawls out of the mound which is still lit up but not showing as empty aka a crater instead of a mound. It's still a skeleton, does not form skin or scales or whatever and sits there while i kill it without attacking, I think it was a named dragon but not sure. so I kill it and Alduin flys off but the spire of lights is still showing on the mound, I have played quite a bit since this happened, fast travel and waiting, but the spire is still there. Not sure if it's a problem but idk how to fix it or even if i need to. I am running mods but they have nothing to do with the enviornment or dragons, just inhabitants of skyrim, some follower mods, and house mods, as well as the crossroads inn right by the mound.

Do you have a save from before you fought the dragon? If so, disable that mod and try again

Sounds that you have one script that have got stuck.

Do you have Usleep?

From my experience if you attack too soon while the script is still running for alduin to raise the dragon... then it doesn't complete and perhaps won't.
You can test that if you have a previous save. Just load it up again and let alduin totally raise the dragon before you attack.
Even if you let it stay there and play on it's a test that can tell you if it will cure that issue.

No i do not have previous saves, I try to keep my saves to a minimum, and I don't have Usleep but it doesn't seem to be creating any issues so far.

Bethesda fixed obvious bugs from the game in Official Patches. However, they left conditional bugs unfixed. The problem you describe is one of the conditional issues, which may become persistent. Those conditions should be fixed in USLEEP.

I recommend that you install the patch. Problem is that USLEEP can to retroactively update scripts that were already been merged to save files. Installing the patch may or may not fix this isssu for this game, depending on which sort of conditional issu is causing it.

This is why I recommend having few full saves to spare. I always have around 10 saves back.
