depends, what can you pc handle. and please keep in mind that skyrim was designed nearly a decade ago. as so youmust put yourself into the fact that you're going to have to move your own rear end in this game. if your pc can handle it. grab nexus, get graphic mods, immersion mods and more quests andif you dont liek that then you got your answer. unless youre that schpeshiyialhe kind of player who thinks stuff is too hard for you
Couldn't have said it better myself
If he isn't one bit interested in the vanilla game, I doubt he'd care to mod it. It's ridiculous, who mods before finishing the vanilla game. And if he didn't like the first 2 hours of it, just refund it if he can and stop ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about it on forums
And FO4 and skyrim are completely different games, different genre, story and gameplay. Just because they're both Bethesda, it shouldn't be an incentive for you to get it based on company alone
Its the melee combat system what makes this game terrible. Its terrible.
Bethesda games are 5/10. Bethesda games with mods are 8/10. Bethesda games with mods that you have tweaked to your heart's desire are 10/10.
I think your preference for Fallout 4 proves this point (not to mention FO4 is using modern advancements Skyrim doesn't have). While FO are great games, they are more similar to FPS games (FO3 and FO:NV popular mods make them FPS games) and they never are nor hold the same amount of fanboyism as Elder Scroll games. Just looking at pure modding stats for Fallout vs Elder Scroll proves this.
In your case, mods won't help you. If you dislike the base version of the game, putting "lipstick on a pig" won't be any better.
Also, you bought the version w/ directx-9 and is over 5 years old; you should have opted for the Special Edition Remaster.
