Why is this game so boring?
I've been hearing for the longest time now that skyrim is a masterpice and perfection in a games form so i finally decided to pick it up. Man was this game a let down. I didn't know much about the game and thought that it would be just a decent little game becouse it was made by bethesda, but the game is mostly me just sighing and hoping that something would happen. When fallout 4 has a more interesting begining and managed to keep me playing for 6 hours on my first session compared to the 2 on skyrim there is a big problem. The artstyle is also very ugly. It's not the graphics, it's the artstyle. Allmost every set of armor look the same and are hard to tell apart in the cofusing menu.
(I won't bother going into the bugs that i had in my first hours)

Like dose the game get more interesting at some point, beacouse at this point i'm just thinking that i delete the game. Is it just my taste in games or what?

If you have all 3 DLCs game is much better, Main story gets boring for me after I pass it. Side Quests are good. And after all you need mods to get most of the game.

it does not get better. If you dont like it, delete it.

I don't like the Chrysis games, other people love them. Whether someone likes a game or not is strictly a personal preference. If you don't, then play something you do like.

depends, what can you pc handle. and please keep in mind that skyrim was designed nearly a decade ago. as so youmust put yourself into the fact that you're going to have to move your own rear end in this game. if your pc can handle it. grab nexus, get graphic mods, immersion mods and more quests andif you dont liek that then you got your answer. unless youre that schpeshiyialhe kind of player who thinks stuff is too hard for you

If he isn't one bit interested in the vanilla game, I doubt he'd care to mod it. It's ridiculous, who mods before finishing the vanilla game. And if he didn't like the first 2 hours of it, just refund it if he can and stop ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about it on forums

And FO4 and skyrim are completely different games, different genre, story and gameplay. Just because they're both Bethesda, it shouldn't be an incentive for you to get it based on company alone

You cant compare FO4 and Skyrim, Its like comparing Daggerfall to Skyrim. It doesn't work.

Bethesda games are 5/10. Bethesda games with mods are 8/10. Bethesda games with mods that you have tweaked to your heart's desire are 10/10.

You didn't like it? What a special snowflake. *grabs popcorn*

The game follows a certain style of play, patience and immersing yourself into the lore. While I do enjoy a good CS, CoD, TF2, starcraft play every once in a while; Elder Scrolls moves at a much slower pace.
I think your preference for Fallout 4 proves this point (not to mention FO4 is using modern advancements Skyrim doesn't have). While FO are great games, they are more similar to FPS games (FO3 and FO:NV popular mods make them FPS games) and they never are nor hold the same amount of fanboyism as Elder Scroll games. Just looking at pure modding stats for Fallout vs Elder Scroll proves this.
In your case, mods won't help you. If you dislike the base version of the game, putting "lipstick on a pig" won't be any better.

Also, you bought the version w/ directx-9 and is over 5 years old; you should have opted for the Special Edition Remaster.

I'm going to go with this after I stopped reading after "masterpice."
Skyrim is not a masterpiece, but what are the alternatives? Very few and far between and nearly all far older games. I think the local of Skyrim is amazing (much how I felt about Fallout 3). The use of the voice was a lot of fun and everything else ok-ish. Not all games can be for all people.
