I can't get rid of the Joy of Perspective skeleton (fixed)
I've tried many things.
I tried creating a new save game. I tried uninstalling literally every file or folder that has joy of perspective in it. I tried to simply remove the mod via MO. I tried redownloading my skyrim.ini. I tried selecting my JoP body and deleting it. I tried chaning races. There's nothing more I can find on Google.

Did you try deleting the skeleton files and verifying the data cache?

I did try to do that in the CBBE folder, the issue still remained. There are also multiple .nif files up to a point that I can't be sure what files I need to delete. I also tried the HDT version of it and it seems like that is the only skeleton that is still in-game. If you could specify which file that skeletont would be, I'd appreciate it. I also tried verifying game files btw

I never used Joy of Perspective. Someone that used it should come here.

I just looked up 1st in windows explorer and waited a bit, got a lot of 1stperson .nif files that were located in a completely different folder. Then I started Skyrim again and now only my boobs remain and they're static. Kind of like what this guy is having. https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/3574910-strange-breast-in-first-person/ He somehow fixed it, but didn't care mentioning how. I'm not having this issue on argoanians and khajits either.

Are you trying all this on an existing save?
Jigain Apr 22, 2017 @ 9:02pm
You don't specifically mention having done this, so have you followed the removal instruction on the mod's webpage?

=========
Removal:
===========

If removal via NMM fails a manual removal can be performed as follows:

1. Delete the following folder from your Skyrim install directory:

'Data\meshes\Actors\Character\_1st person'

2. Delete SKSE/Plugins/SKSE_JoyOfPerspective.dll

If using NoSKSE version, delete The Joy of Perspective.esp files

It was such a long time ago I don't exactly remember how I fixed it, but I think I started a new game to fix it.

Thanks guys. This was a weird one, would have taken drastic action soon or later.
Jigain's post is the way.

Sorry to awake this thread but I want to put my solution here.

For MO2 users
1. Go to your ModOrganizer\SkyrimSE and search "1st" you'll find all mod with "1st_person" folder, in the details the mod name too.

2. Reinstall all theses mods (in my case : Archery Gameplay Overhaul / Ultimate Combat / XP32 Maximum Skeleton Special Extended).

You're 1st person problem are gone, the main problem can come from XP32 Maximum Skeleton Special Extended because there is a option to merge the skeleton with JOP.

Sorry to re-reawaken this thread, but i've tried Jigain's comment, I've tried going into the game and deleting it from the Mods menu (i got this mod through the in-game system, without a mod manager, before i got SKSE too) I've tried a few other things too and nothing's working. I end up getting a grotesque mass when i look down. Help?

Hi there, Glitch! I assume you are playing Special Edition. This is the forum for original Skyrim (Oldrim, as it is known). Please post in the Special Edition forum - https://steamcommunity.com/app/489830/discussions/
as due to the differences in the games, you will not get the appropriate help or information here.

Still relevant in 2023! Thank you for this!

This solved my headache, still relevant as of 2024, thanks. :pgms_erina:
