Can't Find Skyrim.ini file
I'm looking to change some preferences in it but I don't see it in the folder I thought it would be in. I see the SKSE.ini and Skyrim_default files, but not Skyrim.ini. Am I looking in the right place?

If you haven't found it yet, or if anyone else comes here looking for an answer, the absolute easiest way to find this file, is simply by typing it into the windows search bar. The one that comes up if you press the Windows logo on the bottom left corner of your screen, or is already there on Windows 10. Just type "skyrim.ini" and it'll come up. As simple as that.

No you aren't. Those files you listed are kept in your game folder, the file you want is not found there. As youngsn0w mentions, it's in your Documents/My Games/Skyrim folder.

I don't see it there either, although I do see a config file just labeled Skyrim. Are they the same thing?

Windows hides known file extentions (like .ini) by default, so yes, that's it.
