The Kids Are Alright & Interesting NPCs conflict.
I just started a new game and am using "Interesting NPCs" for the first time. When I entered Alvar's house I noticed that his daughter was the vanilla look. The only new mod I was using that I thought would conflict was "Interesting NPCs" so I uninstalled it and went back to a prior save; sure enough that was the conflict

I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to resolve the conflict between these two mods? I really like TKAA but am interested in playing Interesting NPCs as I have never used this mod before. I have TKAA loading after I NPCs so you would think TKAA would win any conflicts.

I am using NMM if that makes a difference.

No conflicts here. Plus iNPCs shouldn't touch any vanilla NPCs.

What other mods are you using?

As I said in my post when I uninstalled iNPCs TKAA worked. Will be glad to post my mod list but it is now sans iNPCs.

Did you have the Interesting NPCs patch? Still shouldn't have caused that problem I don't think, but Skyrim is weird like that...

If you mean the Hearthfire patch I have 3DNPC v 3.2 and 3DNPCs v 3.31 Beta. The author said you do not need the Hearthfire patch with 3DNPCs v 3.31 Beta. I installed v 3.2 and then installed v 3.31 Beta and merged; I assumed this was the correct procedure, but then we all know about assumptions.

Maybe something to do with that, if you had the 3.2 version, then you should have downloaded the update v3.20 to v3.31 rather than download 3.31 and merge. If you downloaded the complete v3.31 you don't need to merge anything, you get rid of v3.2 and use v3.31.

Thank you. I will do what you said and just install v3.31 and start anew, I am not so far into this game that it is a hassle to start from scratch.

I will post on this thread to say how that worked out.

No, I mean the patch for Interesting NPCs that is available for The Kids Are Alright.

Works so far, Alvor's daughter is not vanilla.

Gnewna, I had not been aware of that patch, which is my fault for not paging down. It seems there are three patches I should have; Clothing and Clutter , CRF, and iNPCs. I will install those patches. I have saved at the bridge going out of Riverwood and after I install the patches and run Wrye Bash again I will start at that save and hope this will not bork my game.

When I reach Whiterun is there some action I can take or an NPC I can talk to so I can ensure that iNPCs is working<

edit I had the other patches installed, just not the iNPCs patch.

There will be a smith's apprentice named Halldis outside Warmaiden's.

Thank you Falro.

I think Halldis is from Inconsequential NPCs, not Interesting.

If you go to the Bannered Mare, you'll probably find an Altmer called Edalwyn (or something like that) and/or an old, bearded human male called Argus, he's usually sitting at the bar, she tends to wander around. Both from Interesting NPCs. Edalwyn does sometimes go for a walk to Dragonsreach or to the Skyforge, though, so as long as you find Argus (they're both normally wearing dark robes, I think) don't worry if she isn't there.

Oh, actually, if you're loading a save at Riverwood, you can head to the Sleeping Giant, there's usually a Nord called something like Hvalgamir or Hjalgamor, one of those Nord names, and a Redguard called Gorr in or just outside the tavern. (Gorr tends to lean against the wall outside during the day, Hrangamar or whatever he's called looks a bit like Sven and is looking for work, so he sometimes has little scenes with Delphine and Alvor.)

Ah, dammit, that's right. Sorry.

Hjoromir is his name :)

Thank you gnewna, will whip on over to the Sleeping Giant Inn now. Gorr was there so it looks like I am good to go.

Thank you guys for your help.
