Best way is to kick their shield out of the way and then deal a lot of damage. Or wait till they miss their own attack and hit them before they're shielded again. Maneuver around enemy with shield, look for spots not protected by shield.

You can even find a weapon that deals damage through shield. Other weapon's heavy attack knocks shields off (big hammer can be found early on and is great for this).

Lots of options as you can see. Hope this helps. ;)

No your thinking of the normal shielded enemies. Kicking does nothing, nor does the big weapons.

You have to bait and dodge their charge attack, after which they kneel down to recover. You can try with the dual scythe to attack through the shield, but there quick attacks are hard to avoid and hurt alot.

Ah sorry! I totally forgot about the big guys!

I have two methods for them:
1. Parry them.
2. Force them to charge you and get out of the way and stab them in the back - after failed charge they will be vulnerable for good few seconds.

Now go kill'em ;)

Ill have to try parrying again, i got no yellow marker and it didn't seem to work, so i assumed you couldn't, but i must have just messed up the timing

You don't need the marker to parry. As long as it isn't the explosion marker, you can parry the attack. The katars where my favorite weapon because of this.

You can also use the charge ability and knock them down, as long as they aren't preparing for their own charge attack as well, in which case it won't work and they'll just ram right into you.

easiest way is to use Katars, bait the charge and dodge it which leaves them stunned, while theyre stunned spam M1 on them and u can kill them in one combo before they recover.
