Can't even get past the main menu.

Just bought Elderborn and I can't play it. On launch, my mouse cursor disappears so I can't click anything and keyboard presses don't do anything either. The top right shows controller inputs but I don't have a controller plugged in. Alt-tabbing does nothing. I've attempted a cache verify and full reinstall. It didn't work. Anybody else have this kind of issue?

I kind of got it to work. By hitting the enter key at the main menu, I'm able to start a new game, but I can't chose the character or change the difficulty. Once in the game, I can move around the world and fight, but I can't access any settings or move the cursor in the character sheet. It acts like there's a controller stick tilted to the right, any using arrow keys to try to select anything doesn't work. The cursor just moves right back over on its own. So I can't level up...

But hey, at least I was able to play a bit, and I REALLY like what I see, so I'm willing to wait for a fix. The tutorial popups show controller bindings, but that's more of a nitpick since I could figure out the keyboard binds on my own.

I had the same problem, and realized my Logitech gamepad was connected. So, I disconnected and restarted the game. Doh! It still wouldn't show the mouse after that, though. Then I realized I also had a joystick connected. I disconnected that and restarted the game: then the mouse finally started working.

Similar issue, game loads, watch the into video, and then blank screen, rebooted, even bought the GOG version thinking Steam might be an issue. Nothing, refunded both for now.

I will reiterate that I don't have a controller plugged in. I'm aware that this issue can be caused by other peripherals being plugged in, so unplugging them was the obvious first step. No change.

Can you try running the game in steam big picture mode?

Same as before, no cursor on the menu. Pressing enter let's me get into the game but the character sheet selection is still just continuously moving to the right-most option and button prompts are still showing controller inputs. Big Picture config confirmed no controllers are detected.

This might not work for everyone, but the same thing happened to me and in order to get it to work I first did alt+enter to put the game in windowed mode, and then it wound up forcing itself back into fullscreen once I selected the screen again. I was able to access all of the menus and settings once I did this.

Awesome game once you get into it.
