Player customisation?

Not a big B-ball fan and have zero affinity with U.S. NBA players. However, I do like how this game's style elicits that old Sega Genesis Nightmare Basketball game feels -- which, as a kid, I loved.

As such, can one create or customise players in this game -- for those of us who aren't 'into' what seem like generic-looking, Afro-Americans players (which seem to predominate this sport [in the U.S.])? Or is the game a caricatured NBA 'simulator' of sort and, therefore, only contains officially licensed players...?

Ok, not sure if the game was released at the point you posted this, but yes, the game has "Swag Packs"

You can equip everyone (but MJ for licenses I guess) with many kind of clothes. Some characters (not necesary legends) have special sets, for example, Curry gets an ironman like armor in the color of the Warriors.

You also have these 90's patterns on many clothes, and a kitty sweater (this isn't a joke tho)

You can't create players but you can unlock different gear to equip on the players that are already in the game.
