How to Block a self alley oop ?

Does anybody know how to do that?
Every time my opponent does a self alley oop, I cannot block it.
I know when the player throw the ball to rebound,
I can push him to stop him jumping, but if I don't want to lose my lottery picks energy,
is there other tips or tricks to block a self alley oop ?

You can grab the ball as a rebound before the opponent can self alley-oop.
If you guess correctly and just wait, you'll be able to jump while the opponent is in recovery.
