Hugh, I'm pretty sure I know that one. If you aren't there the little girl gets far more seriously hurt and Hugh's is devastated, unwilling to let a possible good thing into his life.
It really comes down to investigating a noise or not in the end.
Did not save Arabella with Hugh because when I did that route I wasn't getting the romance to progress. May have to try that at a later point.
Oh, I've gone and had tea with Arabella and Hugh. And saved Arabella. And then had a sparring session with Hugh after he started courting me. And told him who I was. And then the romance doesn't trigger and I don't get the picnic.
On a technical level: it also causes his opinion meters for your two identities to merge.
