Steam Cloud Support for Overcrowd
Just wondering if anyone would like/is interested in Steam Cloud support for Overcrowd. For those who don't know, this automatically uploads your savegames to the cloud (if you wish) and you can load your savegames on any device with Steam and Overcrowd installed, so if your PC crashes, you will still have a backup. After asking the developer (@pH_101) whether he was looking into this (see thread here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/726110/eventcomments/4224890554457426073/), he asked me to start this thread so he can gauge the demand for the feature. If you would like to see Steam Cloud support for Overcrowd, please reply below.

Cloud saving
It would be suuuper nice to have some kind of cloud save option or be able to export the game so you can continue on other devices easily. I myself play on my laptop when I'm away from home and on my desktop when I'm home.

Noted. Yes I will implement this along with other steam features like achievements as we get closer to full release. You can access and copy campaigns in Documents/My Games/Overcrowd/Saves/Campaigns - copy the whole campaign folder between PCs

Very glad to hear this! So far I'm enjoying the game a lot and I'm looking forward to the full release :lunar2019piginablanket: A game I'd love to 100% ;)

I would indeed appreciate the cloud saves. But I just remarked something else while trying to check for older versions of my save files.

Overcrowd (at least by default) stores saves in C:\Users\yourusernamehere\Documents\My Games
However, other games (A Plague Tale Innocence, Life Is Strange, Orwell, South Park - The Stick of Truth) happily find the My Games folder located in OneDrive (in my case *C:\Users\yourusernamehere\OneDrive*\Documents\My Games where the the marked section is stored as Windows user variable OneDrive)
Maybe a quick win could already be to prefer a My Games folder within OneDrive for backups, version control and portability?

For now, I've created a symlink to fool Overcrowd into saving the save files to OneDrive :p

Moving this over to Suggestion.
Al is aware of the request.

Also just a reminder that a posting consisting entirely of "+1" is classes as Spam and a breach of the community guidelines.

Please add one additional vote for this feature!

This would be so useful when playing between multiple machines signed into the same Steam account.

I was just trying to continue playing on my notebook and was shocked this does not work...

This is a must have +1,

Al is aware of the request.

Not ideal but there are a couple of workarounds

As suggested above saving to One Drive folders

Uploading to Drive (although very manual)

Utilising Steam Remote Play (however this requires your primary machine to be powered on and logged in to Steam). I use this option to play via the Steam Link app on my Android tablet.

Absolutely would love this, I went to play my Network on my laptop after first playing on our family PC and was disappointed that the save didn't sync.

I support this feature, the saves on cloud would be a must for my personal situation.

I have a dumb question: should I understand that the fact it appears as an option and that it is selected doesn't necessary mean this is already working for the game ?
(which seems not indeed, since I don't find my saves on the other computer)

The game does not currently have steam cloud saves enabled, and it is not listed as a steam feature on the store page. If steam allows you to enable them which is what I think you are saying, that is i'm afraid completely outside of my control.

I can see there is an interest in cloud saves and will see if I can take a look a this when I get a moment and get to understand what impact it would have/look at the feasibility of implementing it.

Thanks for you answer, and thank you in advance to have a look at it, but this is indeed a low priority task compared to other ones you may have ! ;-)

(and I confirm the erroneous Steam display in the properties of the game (updates tab), which is obviously ambiguous).

Just a reminder that +1 is considered spam in steam community guidelines, please do not post +1 on this thread.

I have removed all prior +1 posts and any users posting further +1 posts will be acted on with some sort of mod action.

I am aware of this request and am looking into. If there are more spamming bumps to this thread I will also consider locking it.
