Favourite game in a similar genre?
So i'm curious what people interested in Overcrowd like to play? And what do you most want to get from the game, like in similarities to other games. And are there any less obvious genres that could come into play in the game design? I would say the biggest influences on the game design are dungeon keeper, prison architect, theme hopsital and (maybe weirdly?) FTL.

Theme Hospital, RCT3, Mini Metro, Cities:Skylines, I tend to stick with creative style games, I like how this game looks retro and how I think it has a similar vibe to old school Habbo

Ah yeah interesting. A few people mentioned habbo - for sure same perspective - though our assets have about 4 times the resolution and i'm not sure you could rotate view in habbo. Spoke to the mini metro dev on twitter, seemed a nice guy :) I need to try out city skylines - when I get the time!
openRCT2, RCT3, planet coaster if i could run it i'm sure, sim airport, city skylines, civ 5, prison architect then more far reached ones are Dota 2 and Poltics & War

EDIT: forgot Factorio - that is an excellent game!

All the above + Rimworld, Transport Fever, Capitalism Plus (not so relatable to topic), Evil Genius (very very good), Project Hospital, Software Inc, Sim Tower

There is always lets plays, if your short on time, excellent to code to having an lp on second monitor.

Went and had a look in my library:
startopia, production line, planet coaster, tropico series, mad games tycoon, anno series, empire tv tycoon, big pharma, the guild 2

Your game is already on wish list, glhf developing

Thanks! Appreciate your answers, interesting !
Management sims are my first love in life. In fact, the reason I came to Steam was to activate the Gold Edition of Omerta which I had purchased off of Amazon. (Which is also the reason why I choose to change my nickname to it's Italian equivalent and use an Omerta avatar for Steam.) The game that really took my Steam usage to a whole new level, is Motorsport Manager.

Of course, it doesn't always have to be about money, because I also like Bomber Crew a lot, and I've been playing Rebuild 3 again lately. Though I have to get into playing The Pusher soon, since I got a free copy on the condition that I write a review in an official capacity!

I'll admit, I also like visual novels a lot. (Especially if they're NSFW.) I also play Car Mechanic Simulator 2018 a lot in spite of the fact I'm not much of a simulation game lover, but it's casual and allows me to amuse my friends.
Airport CEO, SimAirport, Airport Tycoon are always my favorite. Do you plan to make an airport version for Overcrowd?

Hands down Cities:Skylines. With the right mods, it might be the greatest City sim ever.
Project Highrise is pretty good also.

I thought of Airport CEO as soon as I saw it.
My first thought was how much it resembles the game: Block'hood. Probably mostly because of the tiny map space that invites verticality in building it up. Personally I'd like to see a game start small and add larger maps throughout the campaign.
All of the counted games above are very enjoyable. But let me add 2 more.
These are OpenTTD and the A-Train Series.
It reminds me a bit of Project Hospital.

I'd like to see the ability to run multiple stations, sort of tie them in from an above ground view and and manage influx of passengers from different parts of the city/events.

Random events would be nice too.
I like many already listed. I would add Oxygen Not Included. Really ticks the building and efficiency boxes for me. That one is stellar! :-)
