Gamecube Controller Setup

Hey!
Really loving the game so far. I've been using my xbox360 controller without any issues so far but when I found out that you can play with gamecube controllers I had to try it out.

Unfortunately it isn't simply plug & play like the xbox controller so I followed the instructions on existing threads. After a while I managed to atleast have the controller show up in the controls menu of the game but I still don't know how to actually use / configure it. Only my keyboard is responding.
The gamecube controller works perfectly fine with Dolphin, for the record. I am using the official Wii-U adapter. Any suggestions? Thanks

When you download Massive's GCN adapter drivers, you need to actually launch the program prior to playing it. You can find the download for the drivers on the bottom of slap city's official FAQ page:

Once it's downloaded, navigate to the install folder, I believe it defaults to C:\Program Files (x86)\GCNadapter

Simply launch the application there, press start, and now your GC controller should work in Slap City.

Oh, that makes sense! Never occured to me that I had to open the program for some reason, anyway it works now! Thanks XD

I've been trying for an hour, it's not working for me no matter what I try. Even with the program open, slap city at MOST will see a gamecube controller that won't respond, and I can't configure it either.

I recommend using the reworked for the Gamecube Controllers released for the Wii U and sold as the "Racing Controller"

It happened that the Gamecube controller game was insanely good for racing games, so Nintendo actually listened to it's customers for once. They still don't listen enough to release their archive of Classic games to Android, though.
