Achievement spam?

What does this means to steam? The players may be into trouble with this?

the intro to the game says something about "it's not achievement spam, it was a feature discussed by the userbase" and I really want to know where that discussion was and how everyone got hold of the same drugs before having it.

a while back, when this game first came out, the developer made a post on the discussion forums where users interested in the game could put in their name or word of choice to be included as an achievement in-game. I think the thread was deleted a while ago, but I woefully chose the achievement of "YAAASMERCURY" when it was a thing still

So the developers just decided to put as many random words as achievements as they liked? I thought it would form a text or make sense at completing the game, but it's just 317 random words.
