Necrobarista lead writer trashing other visual novels

whew i really wonder why some indie games dev start trashing other people work when they start getting a bit of success , just bravo Damon claiming that your game was too good to be put alongside the other japanese novels on steam and trashing both games and fans such a daring exemple of professionalism , being such a douche will definitly help and double the sell heh?

Man, I'm still hoping to check out Necrobarista sometime because I like the artstyle and the characters look fun, but the way the writer toots his horn about Necrobarista being award-winning while trying to put down other visual novels as being, "just porn," puts a bad taste in my mouth. I definitely don't agree with people hurling insults at them, nor the harassment, or anything like that, but I can see how some might be incensed that they're being ♥♥♥♥♥♥ towards these other highly praised VN's just because they have adult content in it. You'd think they wouldn't have to play this grandstanding game to act, "oh-so-superior," to win over a crowd that probably already likes your game.

Also, atacking Nitro+ is like atacking Sega in VN world. They are well know for a reason, they contribued to the rise of this niche genre.
So, if they could start Necrobarista project, it's thanks to them.

I advice the lead writter to do some research on the history of VN. There are lot of porn, and some of theme have excellent writing/universe. So the porn part is just a reward or a bonus.

About Saya no Uta, I read for the plot, not for the pr0n. If after an accident, everything is blurry/altered excepted one person, how is he in reality ?

Best hentai games have excellent gameplay, Shady Lewd Kart is a solid Mario Kart without Mario. Every Alice Soft games are fun to play ( I played Evenicles longer than Tales of Symphonia). I really enjoyed Midnight Castle Succubus.


I know Australia is extremely weird about videogame ban https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_banned_video_games_in_Australia , So maybe discorvering something not released in their Teletubies-friendly country is shocking

P.S. I've been playing different VN's for a bit now (different consoles even) and I haven't heard of this "Award Winning VN" called "Necrobarista" at all. Awards these days don't matter anything to normal people like myself and reviews on this game are really bland and uninteresting.

It's a problem with PC/SJW culture taking hold within the western game development scene. Clearly the writer subscribes to that culture by just looking at their Twitter profile. To be honest, I would remove anyone from my staff if they felt the need to publicly bash well respective competitive products in such untasteful insults when your product is not that great while wearing references to it.

Those who've wanted to speak their mind have spoken. Especially those who had some interest in this game, which is a small number of people when you think about it. This is a game that won't be moving over a 100,000 unites in one year. It would be lucky to see over 10,000 units sold in one year.

Speaking as an Australian, don't paint all of us with the same brush. A lot of us look at the way our media is filtered and loathe the system just as much.

Unfortunately I bought this game looking to support an Australian-made game because the industry just really, doesn't properly exist anymore and now I'm just disappointed I even bothered after reading this thread.
