Despite that it's a pretty nice game and I'll look forward to visit the game regularly a have a better experience soon ;)
Hello and very sorry for the lags and lack of servers!
Bringing more servers is on the table, but as we add servers it's also split the community.
It's not hard to add servers, but finding a game will be impossible.
Let's make this game a small hit, then raise your coutrny flag with others, and we will add the dedicated servers!
Thanks for the feedback 🙏
During the early-access it was made with rollback and the feeling of seeing the opponent and the bullets rollbacking was terrible (with a high lag).
But we see a lot of player asking for this, while others hate that.
So we are looking how we could do something "between both" or as an option.
Thanks for the input :) (no joke ahah).
Hello,
The VS AI is working on the server (for XP and future rewards), if you want to play against AI without lags, try the local mode !
We are going to add some servers in the next patch.
Thanks for the reply and considering rollback.
i do think the best way to do the netcode for this game is being able to set either a maximum rollback frames and/or an input delay setting. it would be the best of both worlds.
so you can balance out "acceptable visual rollback" and "acceptable input delay".
it would also make your inputs more consistent between opponents and this is all client side so maybe on your end you have a high input lag but 0 rollback frames like how it is now and on your opponents end it would be 0 delay and very jittery rollback.
skullgirls on steam would be a pretty good example of this.
melty blood community edition is also a pretty good one.
i'm from australia and as much as i want to enjoy the game, even playing against the AI it takes a long time for my character to respond to my movement. tried both servers
I completely understand what you say and I've read a lot of articles, currently writting a complete post to explain why we won't do "full rollback" and "what we will do".
Also just to say (but you'll be able to read the full detail in the post), most of those fighting games are P2P and not authoritative servers, we didn't designed the game like that, and it's such a work to change it.
Just try the "local mode" this one is completely offline and offers the exact same features/gameplay !
I guess with a server in asia it should be better, I have no idea what the ping looks like from Australia, we are digging this as it is our "biggest issue" right now.
Thank for the reply, pretty cool to have constructive tchatting about that :)
